The current disclosure of an error in the amount of migrants into the UK reveals yet another reason why the entire policy on immigration needs to completely revised and tightened up. The Government is allowing almost a free ticket into the country for anyone who is legally entitled to be here, but at the same time is not providing the money to ensure that the people who were born here, the people who have been part of a line of tax payers going back generations, are not getting the services they have been paying for.
The queues on medical services are getting longer – it can now take a couple of weeks to even get to see a GP never mind a specialist unless you’re in an emergency situation. Hospitals are overworked, under-resourced and consequently not the healthiest place to be in even if you do manage to get to the top of the waiting list – although you shouldn’t count on getting your much anticipated surgery anyway until you’re actually in the operating room as it could be that you get sent home because some more urgent case has presented itself and you’re sent home to wait until your name comes back to the top of the list!
Education is another area where migrant issues are creating a problem. Not only is this a financial one that’s linked to resources however. It’s time that the Government stepped in and said “This is what we teach in the UK, if you want to live here, this is what you learn.” It’s fair enough to ensure that students are given materials in a language they can understand whilst they learn English, but for to reformat our education to cater for the religious beliefs of another nation is ridiculous. There have always been non-Christian religions in the UK, but never have they encroached on the way that religion was taught in schools. Those children from non-Christian backgrounds learned about Christianity at school and about their family’s religion at home – unless they went to a religion specific school. Recently there was even an issue about the teaching of Darwinism because it conflicted with what another religion now prevalent in the UK taught. Darwinism and evolution is considered fact, even by many Christians, we shouldn’t be sending our education back over a hundred years just because it offends the religious beliefs of people who don’t have a strong enough faith to ignore what their religion tells them is wrong.
The ability to move from country to country is a great freedom. It allows people from the UK to move to other countries, as well as other people from outside the UK to move here. However the problem is that there is not enough restriction on the amount of migrants and therefore we are facing a resource and identity crisis. It’s time for someone with commonsense to be put in charge of an ACTION group to actually do something about righting this situation before it gets completely out of control!
Ow, a little news on the work front. Check out the new design on the hexagon bolts part

It has been recently reported that the MP’s in the House of Commons need to find a new home while repairs are carried out on their part of the Houses of Parliament. They are looking for a new home for up to three years while the work is carried out.
Why three years? Why not make the whole move permanent and let’s get rid of them once and for all. These so called ‘leaders’ are so far removed from society, we could stick them on top of Ben Nevis and no one would notice a thing. Or how about spending some of their sessions in Baghdad, that will make them think before going off into another war zone. We could stick them in Washington DC, as that is where all the important decisions are made nowadays. I am sure they would be welcome there as the Americans love the British accent.
But probably, the best place to send them would be to Coventry… Finally we seem to be progressing with the site.Lee has completely re-designed the oak part

This post is made out of complete annoyance. About 6 months ago I joined Napster on a monthly subscription so I could listen to any music I wanted. This experience has pretty much put me off music, believe it or not.
These are my reason you should avoid it at all cost:
1. Their are just so many error, you cannot listen to a play list without having to click to correct error, or having to login again for security reason. It is impossible to enjoy.
2. They delete stuff from your Libary, you download a bunch of songs you want to listen to and then Napster come in and removes them or cuts them down to 30 second. It’s probable some restriction from suppliers, but it really has the feeling of some one coming in and stealling your CD and scratching some.
3. Their Streaming is crap, It doesn’t load the whole song, it just load about 3 second then stops again to load the next 3 seconds. I have ended up going to you tube to hear my songs, since their streaming seem to work fine.
So again, please, please, please AVOID Napster they are not who they used to be. They have a very Shody product, please Avoid them.

I was reading this blog post on SAW III movie musings the other day, and it got me thinking about the fact I haven’t seen a good horror movie in ages. So last night I was on the old flicker and I saw that sean of the dead was just starting. Now I’ll be straight and honest here, it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. I was looking for a horror movie that would give me the wibblies a little and Read the rest of this entry »
