My working week!

Monday, October 31st, 2005

Well after all the weekend fun its back to the grindstone. Lucky I only have to work one day a week. Because I work for myself ninety percent of the time that means I only have to sit at a desk once a week. The odd thing is, it’s like having a entire week crammed into one day I crawl out of bed in the morning wishign it was till sunday and you got to work then you come home like it’s a Friday and your weekends just about to start.

Ahh forget that feast your eyes on this rubbish.

Our next presenter is the first woman to ever breast-feed an Apple - Gwyneth Paltrow.

Chris Rock

Just to complete your day how about some cool sites I have been looking at. My office has just ordered a coffee machine and they keep going on about their website, fairly cool I suppose. Design your own comedy Aprons!

That all I got, leave me alone.

Filters (photoshop)

Sunday, October 30th, 2005

I’ve been having a little play with photoshop. I noticed this picture on my travel and have been playing around using the built in feature of photoshop. What do you think?

This is the paintbrush filter.

This scarey one is done using maxium:

I know this looks stupid but I love this one.

Last but not least some great stuff I found by reading other blogs. I have another stupid but addictive game, it’s called ALAIS it’s a strange combination of mouse plus keyboard, try it. Are you a fan of golf try out this poor internet golf game.

Hung over

Sunday, October 30th, 2005

The party was cool. Johney and Kerry are excellent hosts.

I ended up going as a mummy, cos I’d run out of ideas. It went down really well. But mine was rubbish compared to some others the most impressive was the exocist. The best bit was seeing all the undead doing karaoke!!

But to lighten the mood:

apparently I am laffy taffy what ever that is!!

Just to complete your day how about some killer stuff I have been procrastinate with! Does anyone want a free gmail invite? Design your own comedy Aprons!

But now I must go.

Website accessibility

Friday, October 28th, 2005

It now law in Europe for your website to meet a certain level of accessibility.

Here is a quick tool that can help you find out if your site is upto scrath.

All European website will be legally required to be accessible by disabled people, in order not to fall foul of the Disability Discrimination Act. All the details are here: Disability Discrimination Act.

This is what I was sent through email.

“It only takes one complaint to the Disability Rights Commission about your website for them to start an investigation, and if they decide to proceed with legal action, you could face a huge cost not only in compensation, but also for your company’s credibility.”

- Anne-Laure Dupuis

Only a few website realistically need to worry about these changes in legislation. Your website would need to be very large before it would realist be a problem. Their are only a couple of orginsation that would bother to sue over this, and I doubt they woudl sue my little websites.

I’m not saying that Anne-Laure Dupuis is a fraud, the service you could provide is ligitimate (even though both of here website don’t compile). However it is attempting to scare people so that they pay for her service, quite underhand. in my opinion.

Here’s some groovy stuff I found whilst surfing. An old family of mine has started a online gallery of still life. Have a look. My friend has just started up a website about Jewish speeddating in London, she really good at that kinda of stuff. have a look.

Goodbye for now!

Cool optical illusion

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

Try this crazy like trick out. It a mad crazy optical illusion. As you blur your vision and stare at the dots they start to change colour. It really gives you a head ache after a bit.

Give it a go!

Apparently though I have still managed to waste as incredible amount time:

I love what I got out of they fight crime today:

He’s a time-tossed flyboy sorceror who knows the secret of the alien

invasion. She’s a disco-crazy paranoid socialite operating on the wrong side

of the law. They fight crime!

What about various cool websites I’ve been amusing myself with. My fiend Brigit looks after Migratory Birds in her own Wildlife reserve, that is completely run by donation and jobs that she can do from home. Drop in and have a look. My office has just ordered a coffee machine and they keep going on about their website, fairly cool I suppose.

And now the time is near and I must face my final curtain…

Our second open session.

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

Today we are going to have our second open session. I invited everyone back after the last show but I don’t think I was that persuasive. Hopefully Molly will turn up but I’m positive that Tom will come.

We don’t have that much of a plan, which I suppose is rather unprofessional but it’s forgivable after our first performance.

I know you’ve all been waiting for the cool websites I’ve been amusing myself with. Here’s a forum I have been hanging around in. Here is a place wear you can buy the same hats that everyone else buys but at factory prices.

Well I bored! Think I’ll go eat something.
